For more information, visit cadent.tv. Right now we are looking for an exceptional Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance Team.


 

Responsibilities

 Review expense reports for accuracy each week

·   Complete 2 way matches with invoices and delivery reports for Media stations

·   Gather and submit information during audits

·   File important documents, such as contracts and invoices in folders

·   Ensure timely receipt of monthly invoices and reconcile statements

·   Input of electronic and/or manual invoices into the A/P systems and apply coding

·   Review and question invoices for accuracy as required; frequent use of Purchase Orders

·   Prepare and process checks, EFT payments and wire transfers

·   Process refunds and resolve discrepancies with stations and agencies

·   Create any necessary manual adjustments in Accounting software system

·   Establish credit terms with all stations/vendors

·   Setup new vendors in Accounting Systems including confirming banking information and address

·   Provide accurate email addresses for submission of invoices

·   Work closely with vendors to answer questions, resolving issues and respond to inquiries

·   Adapt a thorough method for follow-up on open items; which is required on a regular basis

Qualifications

·   General understanding of accounting principles with 1 to 3 years accounts payable experience preferable

·   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as there will be constant interaction with stations/vendors over the phone.

·   Motivation to meet required deadlines and departmental goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

·   Media experience helpful

·   Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications with strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel- Daily use of Excel

·   NetSuite and Concur experience a plus

·   Attention to detail
