Cadent powers the evolution of TV brand advertising. We provide marketers, agencies, operators, and media owners with data-driven solutions for buying and selling TV advertising. By connecting brands with opportunities across national inventory sources—cable, broadcast, and digital media—our technology improves efficiencies and boosts the results of linear, addressable, and cross-screen campaigns.

 

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Site Reliability Intern to join our team for Spring 2025. This Intern will have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience virtually or hybrid by working directly with our teams, not for them.

 

This intern will also spend the spring on an individual project customized to their specific skill set which they’ll present to our Tech Leadership team at the end of the program. Details of the projects and timeline will be laid out by supervisors at the beginning of the program.

Responsibilities

The Site Reliability Intern will be responsible for fulfilling tasks set out by supervisors from the specific department they are working in. Some examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Attending team meetings
  • Performing research
  • Using department-specific software to complete daily activities

Qualifications

A great candidate is:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar
  • An effective communicator, whether that’s asynchronous or in-person
  • Detail-oriented and thorough
  • Eager to learn, and is willing to teach themselves new things if needed
  • Willing to take the initiative and own tasks from start-to-finish
  • A good teammate, and is comfortable working with groups of various sizes
  • An excellent problem-solver

Our hiring teams are looking for candidates with one, or more, of the following technical skills:

  • An understanding of a monitoring or telemetry tool
  • Linux fundamentals and shell use
  • BASH scripting (or knowledge of an object-oriented language and a willingness to learn BASH)
  • Teaching highly technical concepts to peers
  • Can build a computer out of parts, or has a good understanding of all the major hardware components
  • Must be willing to commit to 20 hours per week. Program runs from February 25, 2025 – May 2, 2025

Pay Range

USD $15.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
